My thoughts is it really a gt4 or a gt. Besides that i want more information!

I'm thinking it's a GT-4...obviously a better starting point for a drift car. Plus it has the GT-4 hood and (modified) bumper.

RHD, gt-4 hood and bumper indeed but isnt the 3sgte air to water intercooled? the one in the pic has a front mount air-air right? confused.gif

see the shadow on the headlight? IMO it looks photoshoped... kindasad.gif

God made man....Everything else...Made in China
that's not a shadow that's a molded piece of fiberglass so the headlights don't have a huge gap

It's a Celica GT-four that had competed in the MSC drift challenge over a year ago. There's not much info on it since MSC challenge is just full of private drivers who aren't professionals.
I don't see what the big deal is? So he changed his headlights and intercooler?

I reckon FMIC would be better for suited to the job than the W2A as they suffer from heat soak when they're not going really fast and really straight

Can Gt4s have the front axle delete like the STi's do???(Neighbor, dads good friend has an Sti that did the front axle delete mod. seen him drift around my area a couple times) If they did find a way then there's the answer.

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
why are you guys so sceptical? its a gt-4 that drifts. the headlights are reccessed in. its not a photoshop rolleyes.gif

i don't think so because the boxer engine's layout is vertical like an FR car would be

Kumakubo's team orange evo, which the same I4 engine as a celica and mounted the same as well, had to be remounted in vertically so they can make the car rwd. I would guess it will be like so for a celica too.

i can get my gt4 sideways quite easily if i put it into a corner right and it handles like a dream...completl stock too...wouldnt enter in a drifting comp though

because no one has a gtfour front on a non gtfour on here or anything laugh.gif

i saw that pic up on 7 tune a while ago but didnt have much information.

one would assume that its rwd only as no one would enter an awd into a serious drifting competition.

You cant lock them in rwd like you can with gtr's and such (by pulling a fuse) but you might you can modify them internally to make them rwd only.

C'mon man, I know that. I'm just saying there's nobody that would try to drift a FWD car, or otherwise convert a FWD 6GC into a RWD drift machine. I'm just stating that because it has a GT-4 front, it's most likely a GT-4 since it's used in that manner.

D1 rules are that ONLY RWD cars are allowed.
the orange sti has the front axels taken off, because of the design of the boxer engine, it makes it a true RWD car. The orange evo's engine has been remounted vertically to make it a true RWD as well. The white skyline is not a GTR its probably a GTS (since its 4door) with the 2.5L engine which is a RWD car.

the first and last pictures, i never seen them in D1 before but i'm assuming its just a regular drift competition where AWD is allowed to compete.

i'm not saying that AWD can't drift, infact they are most stable drifting cars. Rally cars are generally AWD and they drift

edit:

video of the evo's engine and build
