I know for some car clubs and certian things companys will give a reduced price. Why don't we set something like this up here?

I have kind of browsed around and most companies have a specific area you can send emails to inquiring about sponsorship. I think we should brainstorm up a proposal for them including several pictures of extreme 6gc's.

Potentials for their company
-Increased purchases from the 6gc community
-Potential advertisment on 6gc (If Coomer would do it if asked)
-More word of mouth references(forums)
-Provide a small community all of their parts (almost like a monopoly because we will all be looking for the cheapest parts)

I'm just spitting out ideas that could be presented to a company but should come officially from Coomer

I might be interested in talking to a few very reputable, high quality companies and seeing if they'd offer us discounts if we'd help them out in various ways. >> I'll see how this thread develops, and then I'll think about what I may want to do.

companies dont just hand out free **** or discounts to anyone, they have to feel they will be getting something back from it... like coomer said we'd have to "help them out in various ways. " id be interested to see what is necessary for us to do to maintain a site sponsor.

Like I said earlier I'd imagine they would want advertistment on the page. I just would think it would be interesting to see how this all develops.

i wouldn't mind having some companys name across my back window if that would get a discount on parts i really wanted...

i think one of the problems with this is people would just come here and use it for discounts. we would need like an "extreme team" or something of that sort to keep up with the people that are sponsored

i wouldnt get my hopes up... you need to talk to companies and see what theyre willing to sort out before talking about admiting people to get the discount.

i think we all got our heads pointed in the right direction but we gotta do something....coomer ure gonna try ti find some places out correct? anything in particular ure gonna say theres a couple places down here i can talk to for body work,paint jobs etc.. Best place in Miami its called (Auto Pro)

so say that 6gc figures out a way to get sponsorship from whatever company(s)... take NOPI for example... to avoid the people coming here just for hookups coomer could charge a fee to get into the group of people that get the discount. kinda like a start up fee. or something like that.. that way people that dont want to discounts arnt automatically entitled to it, only those that wish it will recieve it.

But good luck trying to get sponsors... I tried with HKS over a year ago.. typed out this HUGE letter.. was about 50+ pages with photos and a very detailed list of things I was willing to do for HKS in exchange for a sponsorship - which was alot more than I shoulda offered, whats been done to my celi, etc.. they turned me down FLAT..

But who knows maybe with enuf people backing this then it would work.. maybe try and set it up with a "continual GB" state of mind.. that way at least they know money is gonna be coming in, cuz when you get down to it that's way they car about.. enuf people are putting stickers and stuff on cars already so they dont need to give a discount for that... they just want the $$
