Try popping the lens out and seeing how it looks. I remember trying to put the lens back in and it was impossible to see during the day. I can see mine fine during the day now unless the sun is directly behind me and shining glare onto the clock, because the gel is much more reflective than the plastic that was there before. It looks amazing at night

I have 2 clocks and I took the lens out of one of them and I didn't like the way it had that sunken in look during the day, so I am torn between not being able to see it during the day (which is not a problem since I have the time on my CD player visible at all times) or having the sunken in look and it being really bright at night time. I am going to try a couple of different swatches to try and get the color brighter with the amber lens I think...
Yo solidxsnake, did you use the rosco book, if so do you remember what color (or number) you used?
