Damn dude, that sucks. It looks fixable though, but doubt your gonna go through with it. But luckily you were hit and looks like your gonna receive money from it, if not you could always part it and pick up from that.

I dunno, first...glad your ok, for the most part. Im not sure about fixable (I mean what isnt after all). Something like that the insurance co is gonna want to total out. Ive seen less frontal damage and it still get "totaled". Sorry about your loss.
Yes you can fix it. Yes I assure you it will be totaled. Yes it will be extremely expensive to fix, I'd say about $3000-5000. If you need a link to the sheet metal let me know they stock all of it.

Yeah, for that price you can buy another celica...Maybe I should of phrased that better. You can fix it (you can pretty much fix almost anything), but with the time and money thats involved (not to mention owning a salvage title...good luck reselling for what you put into it) youd be better off getting another car.
God that looks so terrible! I am glad you are ok, because after seeing that, it was the first thing that came to mind. So.... Are you going to part her out? This guy wants your Radio Trim Bezel, and if you had a sunroof, your motor and switches. biggrin.gif

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
thanks everyone. well i'm going to see what insurence will let me do with the car before anything. i might try to find another 6g but around here there aren't too many.
Glad to hear you're alright. That looks like it was a bad wreck. But these cars are built surprisingly safe. I hope everything works out well for you. You might have to drive a little ways to find a new one, but it'll be worth it.

looks like the strut towers wouldve moved in. even if you can get it fixed close enough, its not worth it since it will never be the same again. I say get another car.

i was going through an intersection and a guy totally blew threw a red light.
Hope you are OK man. You're definately better off getting a new celi, just salvage what you can from this car and move on.
Looks like you have a parts car there, good thing you are in one piece!
damn man. sorry to see the car messed up but GLAD to see youre ok!

QUOTE (Galcobar @ Oct 15, 2008 - 2:44 AM)You want power but have no money. That's a problem.Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick two.
If you're willing to part out the car at all, I need the fuse box cover from the interior. And maybe the little door / cover that you put over an empty deck slot.

This is what I mean:

Damn... I'm glad you're alright. You can find them in Chicago, you're just going to have to be patient. It took me almost a month of looking to find mine and its completely unmolested. Just make sure that you have some extra in your budget to account for a new motor.....

I'm from Illinois too, but I'm south of you. I had to look for 3 months to find a decent Celica, and I had to drive 3 hours to get it. You might be able to find one it St. Louis, but it's rough looking for one right now.

well i'm looking for a gt in good shape, not worried about miles (i'm going to be swaping it). if anyone can get me some prices and phone number or links that would help. smile.gif
Dude that sucks! I was going to try and plan a trip to Peoria so we could meet up, glad to hear your ok though. I saw a post facelift gt convertable at a local dealer the other day... Not to pour salt on an open wound, but if you decide to part it out let me know.
