Well as wonderful as the pics are here, i just have to ask about the other parts of this kit. Firstly, the downpipe and turbo will still be able to be used with the STOCK manifold and the design of the engine/engine bay correct? As well as the AN fittings you listed earlier.

Also, kinda a question off the last, will you be providing manifolds for the MR2 and Celica engines, that can be used with this kit as well? Will this kit be used on the 3rd/2nd gen 3sge as well? What about specs of turbos you brought up earlier ( i mean you gave a pretty vauge description before and while you did give the name of the manufacturer of the turbo's why should i or anyone else look it up when you are selling them ^_^)?

The downpipe/turbo/wastegate pics look nice, but just looking for a bit more info. Everything seems kinda vauge right now, and i know im not the only person wanting to ask these questions.

Hmmm if i can think of anymore irratating questions for you or anyone else that can aswer then ill post them, but this is all i have for now.

EDIT x2: Btw its nice to see you have your site back up and running, as well as the store!!
Also will you be able to ship to APO addresses?

The downpipe/turbo/manifold/etc... Will all bolt up directly without any extra parts or modifications. Everything needed is included in the kit. Tha AN fittings necessary are also included

The kit bolts up directly to the 3sgte exhaust manifold. There is no need for any other manifold or modification. If you have a motor other than the 3sgte, you'll need to source and fit a 3sgte manifold in order to fit this turbo kit. The turbo is manufactured by Borg Warner. Borg Warner is one of the worlds largest turbo manufacturers. Companies like Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and others use Borg Warner turbos. They are some of the highest quality turbo's around. As far as compressor maps and the power capabilities of each turbo available with this kit, that information can be found on this page: http://www.emspowered.com/storefront/index...products_id=325

MR2 Bolt-on Turbo Kit (300-625hp)
Retail Price: Starting at: $999,999.00

I'd probably do quite well on the real estate market investing that money instead of in a turbo. what makes this turbo so expensive? a million bucks? is that $USD or Japanese Yen?

It's a placeholder. I figured that's sort of obvious unless it's made of diamonds.

This is a very nice down pipe. Definately a different approach compared to others I've seen. I like the idea of the external wastgate and a screamer pipe and also having a flexi there to reducce tension to avoid cracking.
XS has started to make DP with sports cats on them and alot of people have their eyes on it in the UK and awaiting emissions results.

Question?
What grade of Stainless steel do you use?
Is the wast gate welded or can I change it?
Abit silly sorry but the flange is for a ct20b Turbo right???
The top part of the pipe is a 2 or 2.5 before the flexi??

Ray,
* We started with 304SS, but quickly realized that 304 was just too brittle and led to cracking on some of the prototype kits. We are now using 409SS on the downpipes, as it gives us the best long term durability and resistance to corrosion.
* The wastegate is a TIAL 38mm v-band wastegate and is removable
* These are not made for the CT20b/CT26 turbos. These are for our turbo kit. We use German made Borg Warner turbos in our current turbo kit.
* The one in the pictures starts at 2.5" and immediately expands to 3"

forgive my ignorance...what is the purpose of the smaller pipe? the "screamer" ?

>forgive my ignorance...what is the purpose of the smaller pipe? the "screamer" ?

It routes to the wastegate. The wastegate vents excess exhaust pressure in order to control turbine speeds and in turn this controls boost levels. Basically the extra exhaust gasses which aren't needed to spin the turbine are routed out through the wastegate (aka screamer pipe), and bypass the turbine.

Pictures of the final version of the downpipe smile.gif
* v-band 38mm TIAL wastegate
* All stainless steel
* Stainless steel 3" interlocking flex section
* Included wideband O2 sensor bung and Toyota O2 sensor bung

EDIT END 9/22/2009

We're finishing up the final revisions to our turbo kit. The final production version should be available for sale soon (within the next few months).

Revisions from what you've seen in the past from various prototypes:
* Flex section added to the downpipe
* Tial 38mm v-band external wastegate option
* Stainless steel turbine housing
* -4AN braided stainless steel oil feed
* -10AN braided stainless steel oil drain
* Stainless steel 3" downpipe
* Stock heatshield works and bolts on with our kit
* Turbine inlet gasket matched for maximum flow
* Various configurations available to support anywhere from an insanely fast spooling 300whp setup all the way to a monster 600whp capable setup that will spool quicker than any other 600whp capaable turbo kit around.
* Lifetime warranty on the tubo kit (1 year on the turbo internals)
* Kit made in the USA
* The turbo's being used with the kit are manufactured by Borg Warner

A few more pictures

A couple dyno's from various setups that some of our testers have been playing around with:

Stock Gen3 3sgte MR2. 93 octane pump gas. Stock Longblock. Stock ECU. Stock fueling. No tuning. EMSPowered 4" intake. EMSPowered S252 Turbo Kit @ 17psi (this turbo is capable of around 450-500whp:

Gen2 3sgte MR2. 93 octane pump gas. Stock cams. 550cc injectors. EMSPowered 50trim Turbo Kit @ 14psi (this turbo is capable of around 400-450whp). This was a prototype kit that was not using our new Stainless Steel turbine housing, so spool is slower by about 150rpm on this dyno and power is lower by about 15-30hp:
