Anyone had any experience with these?

Or shall I be the first? biggrin.gif

if you can sacrifice drivability for looks then thumbsup.gif
i scrape, bounce, bottom out like crazy. i even cracked the join on my sideskirts.

but then again im almost all the way down. Hawaii is like what?!?!? 5th in the nation with the worst roads???

IMO dont get it! If you dont care about the car anymore then go ahead buy it.

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
yes they are too good to be true, they are not what most people refer to as real coilovers (even though McPhersons are technically coilovers) they just some cheap ass lowering springs with dodgy looking adjustment bits,

"real" coilover left - standard McPherson strut right
(pic not of celica parts)

What's the difference...? The right one looks better imo.

NOT. lmfao. thanks guys, I'll avoid these. Probably just get me some lowering springs.

Springs won't last on stock shocks, you have to replace both.

And since you're spending mad loot anyway, I want to see a GT-4 front end on your car within a few weeks.

if you do get them plz let me know cause that too good to be true. smile.gif

coilovers are the best bang for your buck. if you are willing to spend 600 to 1300

lowering springs(tein eibach etc) with a new sets of shocks (kyb gr2's) is great as well. but there is not as much room for adjustability as with coilovers

get some sway bars first

seriously

do it

now

One of the oldest car adages...

Cheap parts aren't good, good parts aren't cheap.

Unless the company that makes them has done R&D on them, and has proven results, you probably shouldn't waste your money on it.

sway bar not bars, the rear is all you need
Suspension Techniques rear sway bar + full coilover kit = completely new Celica.

Then go overkill with C-one or j-speed front and rear 3pt strut bars.

Front sway bars adds rear wheel traction = useless on fwd car.

A big bar on the front, increases rear lateral and motive traction.
A big bar on the rear, increases front lateral and motive traction.

If the car is understeering, decrease front bar size, or increase rear bar size. This increases front lateral grip and decreases rear lateral grip giving the car a more neutral to oversteer feel.

Steer away from those pieces of garbage. They only make the car look good. Ride quality is like being in a kangaroo's pouch. Either get good springs or shocks or get full coilovers. No matter what brand, they're bouncy as heck and eventually your shocks will blow. Ask me how I know.

Things not to cheap out on 1) tires 2) brakes 3) oil 4)critical suspension parts. Not necessarily in that order, but honestly ... try to be safe about it dude

Dude, I installed Dropzone coilovers when I was an ignorant kid and those things were so bad, I almost had a concussion when I ran over a pothole and I bouncef so hard, I hit my head with the roof and bent my neck. I got lightheaded and had to pull over. The springs are too skinny. They don't do anything. It's all on your shocks. People, save up for some real ones or some springs and shocks. I've wasted too much money on this car and would hate people to make my same mistakes.

if you plan on stock replacement drops stick to known brands like tein, TRD, intrax, megan, tanabe, springs with a good shock.

If not just get full coilovers.

Suspension is one thing you can't control too much.

when you spend for suspension there are two ranges the low end and the high end, more thank likely you will always lean towards the high end in price so just get the good stuff. There is no way to lean on the lower end unless you are just keeping your stock shocks and getting junky coil sleeves.
