I had my car painted and I received it almost 2 weeks ago. Well it got a bit dirty since then and I was hoping to give it a good wash. Instead I brought it down to the car wash and just sprayed water on it (no pressure) to clean off some of the dirt. This sucks because I didn't get all of it. When can I realistically give it a good wash and I mean with full pressure, soap, and maybe some wax??

A bunch of my buddies say that I should just keep rinsing it maybe 2x's a week while others say wait at least 30-45 days for a full cure. I'm lost.

it depends if the car was kept in a heated chamber for the paint to cure after the paint job. if that's the case, normally you should be ok to wash the car using regular pressure. i would be careful hand drying it with towels as it may leave scratches on the fresh clear coat. i wouldn't hand dry until after a week passes and will only use brand new microfiber towels.

if the paint wasn't baked to cure, then i would wait about 1 week before washing the car, and maybe about 2 weeks before hand drying it. but that's just me.

^^^ What he said. If you're paint wasn't baked enough to cure it and let it sit in, then putting any type of pressure could harm your paint in the long run. When I had my sisters car painted, I let it sit outside in the sun for about 3 weeks before I actually washed it. Yea I sprayed it down once or twice, but I made sure that the paint was baked in GOOD before I even thought about washing it.
