Head Light Conversion? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #6976 20 posts Started by Redline_Racer

Does any company make a head light coversion kit, to get supra head lights?

Or is it one of those "If you have enough money you can get it done" things?

please send me your answers via AIM @ Superdollarstud

THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP,

-Brandon

Its one of those, "If you have the money, you can get it done, things." I think you said you had like 2500 dollars burning a hole in your pocket. It would probably take up about 1-2K if not all. Sorry if my estimation is wrong, too. I am not experienced with bodyshops. Ray, 0Re0, I think y'all are pretty familiar with shops. Any thoughts?

haha yeh I said that but I dont have any of the money anymore. Yeh I didn't think it excisted(sp).

Have any of you ever hollowed out one of your lights and used it to run cold air over the engine?

someone once made dual intakes by removing their high beams

looked pretty ghey to me
I dont like it, but if I was going to take out my highbeams for an intake, I would take out both, but having the filter in the housing where you can see it looks really rice

I disagree jayi, I think it looks crap however you do it. Plus rain can pour straight into your intakes so its more a track thing methinks.

Has anyone actually seen a headlight conversion they thought looked good? Out of all the ones I've seen the only one that almost looked good was that 5th gen orange one.

I would only ever consider it if it was done on an AWD celica otherwise It seems a bit lame. Imagine pullin up next to a supra at some lights and getting owned by it. >biggrin.gif>
I remember the Orange one it was nice it looked like a baby Supra but other than that I haven't seen it done.

I saw an Integra with S15 headlights, looked mad sweet.

I posted on the Mini-Supra a while ago.

As for the Integra with the S15 front headlight conversion...Integra/Silvia Conversion. I remember that from when it came out in Import Tuner. A really nice ride. >wink.gif>
My teammate had the same headlight conversion... but went back to the Type-R JDM conversion... almost everyone on my team are starting to go by the idea of KIS (Keep It Simple)...
A few days ago i saw a primered 4th gen all trac. with a honda Civic i think 99 or 2000 front and supra tails.... looked kinda ugly but thats my opinion >biggrin.gif>
im not a big fan of supra headlights or taillights on our cars...i think u can do somethin more creative if ur gonna do a conversion of that sort...somethin like BMW headlights with s2000 tails or skyline tails.

I always thought that the R32 GT-R taillights would look amazing on the 6GC. A good reason behind that is that it would keep it symmetrical with the headlights.
Hey I found this.. I know its of no help lol, but its a 6gc with a supra headlight/taillight conversion......

ebay thing
I've seen a Curren with a Silvia front end conversion, which is basically a Celica with Silvia conversion - looks amazing.

I can't make my mind up from the pics that guy supplied. Looks nice from the front but you'd need a diagonal shot to see if they blend into the body or not >biggrin.gif>
god that ebay thing is ugly
