Yeah, my thoughts exactly, but how do I turn it on?

Does it turn on when you turn on your car heat, or do you have to turn it on manually somehow?
btw, it's a heater but it's not meant to heat the entire cabin. it's only meant to keep the windows from frosting up.
It doesn't turn on when I turn on the heat, I can't figure out how to turn it on at all...

Yeah, it is pretty stupid, I can't even open the glove box all the way because the heater is in the way...

Haha that's the way they taught me in driving school and it's just been a habit since then.
So what do you guys think, should I remove it? I don't like how it looks, and I can't get it to turn on, but if I do figure out how, I guess it could come in handy. Our Canadian winters are damn cold, like -30°C (or -22°F).
