Gran Turismo for the psp - 6G Celicas Forums

well heres the thing. i like playing my video games and all and its been a wile scince i played my psp and the other day i saw the triler to Gran Turismo and i thoght well would i really like it? now im a sports kind of a guy you know baseball.... but i saw this and now I WANT IT!!!! biggrin.gif

That's Gran Turismo HD, the demo, and it's been out for a looooong time.

i know but i cant wait to get for it for the psp and just read GT 5 is coming for the ps3 in march of 2010.

It says 'expected,' so still not definite. I understand that it's taken a while because the skins had to be remodeled for damage (Car & Driver did an interview in 2007 where the creator of GT was asked if damage would ever be included, and the answer was that it would take too long to redo all the skins; apparently there is damage though, since it was seen in a trailer), but it's still ridiculous for a game to take this long to be developed and pushed back so many times, etc.

Having said that, I'm excited too. Might have to look for an HDTV on the cheap, possibly used, to replace this crappy tube TV I have now. I have the HDMI cable, after all.

oh really? i just got way too happy when i saw the trailer for the psp laugh.gif and yes tube TV suck! i had a 42 inch flat with the HD cable and it was awesome and now moved no TV but we have surround system laugh.gif

I've been looking at this for a while now. It got me hooked on the PS2 all over again with GT4. Anyones till play that? After all theeyears it's still a hell of a game.

My mom has a 42" Plasma...and my brother has a 56 (?) Plasma as well. Super nice.

This is for my bedroom/dorm in the future, so it would only be like 32ish.

Don't you guys get the sell on those 42in Panasonic HDTV for $400? We have those all the time here, I'm gonna pick up a second one pretty soon. Huge tv's with excellent picture for so cheap.

Panasonic Viera? That's exactly the one my mom has, they're great TVs. It would be too big for me though.

Yessir thats exactly what I;m talking about. Too bad its too big, it'd make a great contender for the GT5 grafixs


BTW, anyone here have GT4 that wants to play? Lol I've been dieing to vs. someone online but seems noone plays this anymore.

GT4 didn't have online capability. Do you mean GTA4?

No sir I meant GT4, it didn't have online but you can play it online using Xlink Kai. Basically you connect your PS2 to the same router of your PC and run that program on the PC which tricks the PS2 into thinking it's playing someone via system link or LAN connection. It's free, I use it all the time when I play Halo 2 on my orginal xbox.

Really? I've never heard of that. So you connect with other players using that program?

Yes sir, baically any PS2,PS3, PSP, Xbox orignal and 360 or PC games. Not many play anything else besides Halo or Halo 2. There's never players on GT4 that's why I'm always looking around for someone to play with.


And the program works flawlessy as long as you got a good internet connection.

I got this game for the psp, and it's actually pretty good. They took that whole drifting mode thing from GT5 and is an option on the psp version. There is no single player campaign though.

go flash your psp with custom firmware. Then download it and go to town biggrin.gif

just got GT5 prologe or something and im sorry but i dont like it, it doesnt even have a Toyota car in it frown.gif and it wierd its has an acura rsx int the honda. it doesnt even have a civic that i know. frown.gif so geting my money back

GT5 is just a demo, and the RSX is a HONDA. It's only Acura in the states, JDM RSX is considered Honda.

As for no Yoto's, like I said no demo's the real GT5 will have the SS-III and the GT-FOUR.

the game is good,
but is not really depht for a GT game, ps ones are better,
and you can just convert the copy your GT from the ps one to
play on the psp,,
there is a program that does this with all the ps one games,
let me know if you want it.

Joehernandez-more info please.
I have had gt mobile since it came out and overall I am pleased with it. The drifting is pretty much all I play anymore. I really can't wait for Forza 3 next week.
