I'm having a lil trouble - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #6996 6 posts Started by sphinx
OK. OK.

I'm basicly done with my swap. Everything is connected and in place. I try to start the car, it cranks up, but wont start.

I checked the coil, the igniter, and distributor, and they all work fine. I have everything grounded.

I believe there's a ground behind the intake manifold by the injectors, one on the right side of the engine by the timing belt, one to the tranny, one to the block, and one to the chasis.

I had the harness done by Mike (Qatar11), but it still wont start.
Here's something else, i dont get any power on the sparkplug wires or the injectors

Do you guys have any idea what it can be?

I need some help. I've been trying to figure it out for like a week already.
It' killing me.

is this a 3rd gen 3sgte? Had the same problem with another swap like this. And it might be the same with the 2nd gen. You need the resistor pack. A rectangular ribbed looking contraption. Without this, the injectors won't get power. Should be about the size of your hand. If I had a pic, I'd show it.

yeah, somebody on celi.net posted a pic of what it's supposed to look like a while ago. It's a block with what look like "valleys". Like this

_|_|_|_|_

Something like that, not very good on the ASCII art.
To test this theory, get some ethonal, called starting fluid. Spray this in the TB with it open, then try starting the car. Should run for about 4 secs or so, off the Ethanol of course.
