No this isnt a "will these rims will fit my car" thread....I've researched those ones already. My car is a 94 GT4

I need some rubber to put on my stock 16" rims just to make the car mobile (its on jack stands right now and needs to move).....I won't really be driving it much except to get it to and from shops and storing it for the winter, I found some free tires that I can mount on my rims but I would like to know if they will fit in the wheel wells before I waste time mounting them.

Stock tire size is 215-50-16 = 24.46" diameter
Tires on when I bought it 205-55-16 = 24.87" diameter


cheapo tires I got for free:
215-60-16 = 26.15" diameter
215-65-16 = 27.00" diameter


Mainly I want to know if running different tire sizes front to back like that will damage my awd system, second is will these monsters fit in the wheel wells and clear the lower strut mount.

ASAP before I get them mounted please!

ok so I did a little math, I have 1.25" of clearance between the top of the wheels on there now and the bottom of the strut mount, the radius of the wheels on right now is 12.435", plus the clearance would give me an absolute max radius of 13.685" in order to clear the strut mount right?

The tires I want to fit have a radius of 13.5", theoretically that should give me a clearance of 0.185" between the top of the tire and the bottom of the strut mount. Did I do the math right?

205/55R-16 already looks stupid huge on a 6th gen. Get rid of the mismatched tires and put on the oem spec tires.

No I'm not lowered, I just had some free tires I was trying to get away with but I just measured the back and the clearance is much less than the front so methinks these are going to be a definite no-go.

And like I said this isnt for aesthetics I just need it mobile while I find aftermarket ones, I scrapped the idea already

Yes, you can and will damage your AWD setup if you run differently sized tires front to back. AWD vehicles always need to have the same running diameter. Always replace tires in sets of 4, and replace them with 4 matching tires.

I'm a manager at tire warehouse and just to add again that its not good at all to mix match tires on AWD... even the same tread but different tread height greater than 2/32nds is not supposed to be good. How much damage does it cause to the transfer case is unknown but everything now a days is a lawsuit so thats were the larger tire chains stand on that(at least we do). On a personal level you still don't want to even for yard driving esp those size tires which are too big.
