>Yeah but watch Manny Pacquiao take out Miguel Cotto this weekend, and be amazed by this guy's technique. Started boxing at what? 106lbs? Carried through all the way up to 145lbs we are at now?
I was watching those 24/7 on Manny Pacquiao and I must say, this might not be as one sided as we all thought it might be.
I don't think anyone doubts that the Pac-Man is going to win, but what I am arguing is that Manny hasn't had the normal amount of training time and concetration he normally has for his fights due to increase of natural disasters in his training ground.
Originally I though the Pac-Man was going to knock him out within the first 7 rounds, but now I think this fight might actually go all the way to the judges, where Manny is going to win 118-110. Just my prediction.
No, that is a very good prediction. If Cotto learns that he cannot out muscle or out speed Pacquiao, and fights a smart fight, you are very correct. However, he is thought of as a punching bag right now. Because you have to consider his last fight with Clottey and what might have been going on in his head that effected him that last round. I am sure that is to have some impact on deciding to take him on (knowing what the result will be to egg on a more massive fight, with let's say.......... Mayweather? Since God knows we are dying to see that). Anyways, I want to say that what you predict, I expect to see. I don't care too much for quick knock outs, I like a long bloody fight. I am almost certain Cotto will kiss the mat at least 1-2 times even if he survives it all. Considering the relationship between Mexicans and Puerto Ricans, I have to say that I think this guy might try and knock out Pacquiao though, and whatever he weighs in that night is going to tell you exactly how he is going to fight.
Comes in over? Knock out attempt, muscling his way through
Comes in just right? Duration of the match, meaning he will focus on defense, baby steps in points, and counter punching
