Sucks for the owner, but it looks like he was on the phone while driving anyway...shouldn't be done in any car, much less one that costs a mil.

hmmm sounds like he hydro locked the engine.
but its not to bad. pay a shop to fully disassemble the car and wash it with water. Its carbon fiber body doesn't rust like steal unframes.

They really need to create super license requirement for exotic cars. Rigorous course to teach people how to control 500+whp cars like labo's enzo's etc etc.

Agreed, Yarik. If you have a car with over a certain horespower rating, you should have a special license.
I don't think he hydrolocked the motor. The article said the car ran for about 15 minutes, and I didn't read whether or not she shut it off or it died. It looks like the intake was above the water level though.
Imagine that insurance claim... "Yeah, um, hi... I just drove my Veyron off the road and into some water, so... if I could get a check for that, that'd be great..."
