ST185 parts compatibility on ST204 - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #70583 7 posts Started by whatthe
This is a long shot but. My question is will a rear sway bar from a st185 work on a 204?
And will the steel braided lines from a 185 work on a 204?

Seems odd you want a ST185 Rear Sway Bar? the handling of a RSB on an AWD would be different to a FWD, might even be cheaper & easier to get a hold of a whiteline ST204 RSB?

one thing to look at as well is getting one made for your car... i mean, it could be close, but especially when it comes to the rear not only do u want to run a 3 point strut bar but you want the holes to be EXACT you dont want the mounting points to be loose or else the it wont grab as quickly. The RSB then becomes useless.
Braided lines will work - very small difference in lengths.
The sway bars, think you are talking about the antiroll bars, will not fit as the shape and mounting positions are completely different.
Yeh thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure with the community. Jeff yeh i knew the struts were different which obviously would mean mounting holes would be different and the additional AWD. Sway bar = anti roll bar are the same thing in my books, not in yours?
