Planning to paint my car and was wondering if there is any custom black color paint? I just dont want a factory black although its nice.
There is no such thing as best custom color out there... especially since most paint shops will not advise you what to paint your car. They usually give you a huge book weighing 94 pounds and expect you to sort through 248 million colors.

Color, however divides into subcategories. For example pearl or flat or any other combination.

Since black adds elegance it has to be perfect otherwise it will look like a crappy nissan altima black... you need to look for things that pop.

I would advise you to start looking into mercedes cars since they seem to be experts on black beauties.

There is one interesting black color out there. Its a metallic flake, black blue pearl thing that looks like something from another world.

Yeah, if you want something different go with this Thermochromic Paint....
seriously though, do some googling and see if you cant find something you like.
only custom color for black is you mix other colors with it to get a hint of another or add pearl. Or go candy. or mix other colors with each other. One thing for sure is get a good quality clear, you won't regret it.

One style I've seen on Hondas is gloss black with red metallic flake, gives it a lot of depth without it going gray under flat light.

Metallics also help hide imperfections, which is a good thing on dark colours. My car's a red with small gold flakes taken from Mazda's Velocity Red (mine has a heavier metallic content, I think) and unless you know what you're looking for most swirl marks are hard to find. At least they were until I could give it a spring polish and get rid of them...
I can't remember what the Subaru paint code is, but it was the color of my WRX. Car was black, until you got in direct sunlight where you could see it was a very deep blue with blue and green metallic in the paint.

Theres this transparent spray that some people use to spray there headlights and tail lights to a smoky color. Actually looks pretty damn good on a black car.
Yeah i'm with "Blu" the WRX black is awesome. I am actually changing my factory black to the WRX black with the copper pearl. I think it looks sick. GL on the search for the best black.
