Proper HID install in JDM projectors - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #71308 6 posts Started by Projek_01
Here we are, I followed one of the how tos on this site but ran into a problem. using thick metal would ruin the sharpness of the cutoff. If you are going to be doing the RHD to LHD cutoff mod, use thin metal that can be cut with a x-acto knife. Here is the end product of my modding. This took me a full day including baking the headlights open. I know retrofitting real hid projector would get me better output but money is an issue. BTW. Paul from crosscultureconnections was a awesome guy to get the headlights from.

Sorry, i didnt take pictures of the progress but if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.
Looks like you got them pointing up too high, judging from the second picture.

I agree, but they look beautyful man, I wish my car had projectors and HIDs in it lol

waiting for LEDs for next projectWOW recieved the LEDs, just tested a set up on a breadboard and I can barely see anything lol. I think I'm closer to being blind !!
looks fine to me. imo, i would rather have the right side higher than the left.

second pic i think his right one is higher cause his car is tilted cause of the snow.. what it looks like to me anyway
Just looked to me like the beams are pointing above the horizontal. Any car in the middle-distance, the driver is going to be dazzled by the lights.
