might be buying it smile.gif AWD 5s-gte? WHAT?!
the car is actually located in calgary. it's a really good price considering it's a wrc version with sunroof, abs and 8 speaker stereo which is very rare.

wooow excellent,, what is that pole option for?
i wonder why wrc versions have the ugly usdm tails?
All of the WRC's were '94s so have the pre facelift lights.

What makes you think it is the WRC version? I don't see anything that says it is WRC.

But some interesting dealer options and aftermarket stuff.

In addition to the ABS, sunroof and premium audio, it also has the JDM electronic toll collector by the looks of it (centre of the dashboard up by the vents for the windscreen), hyper sports mats and the sunguard (high-level spoiler on the tailgate).

The oem pole - shouldn't there be two - one on each side?

Aftermarket stuff includes the daytime running lights in the mid grille, the hood pins, alloys, exhaust, tinted rear quarter windows, PIAA horns, grounding kit, what looks like a turbo timer down by the fuse box cover at the drivers' knee position, two additional guages on the dashboard (far right of the picture) and some weird switch on a knuckle near where the rear fog switch would normally be.

the engine pic gives it away.. not only does it have the wrc heatshield but you can also spot the antilag components.

And the "pole" thing is a reference point when parking, nothing more.

whatever that crap is around the outter headlight, it doesnt come from toyota. someone personalised that car, either in japan or in canada.

the drivers airbag is interesting for a 94 model, and i noticed trd 300 km speedo

that pole definitely looks like it was put there. Weve seen everything here a celica has to offer.

Can you buy a car like this from Canada and have it on the road legally in the US? sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I haven't been on a lot lately.. I only ask because I will have the cash to do this in two months... toying with the idea instead of trying to convert my current hatch.
if you have extra thousands of money to leagalize it...through testing and paper work...yes you can....state ref is the issue no matter what....
I know you can buy used cars from Canada and have them in the US, the problem this poses is that its imported to Canada. But if its legalized in Canada and then sold used to a US buyer, I'm curious if it can work.
it can, but the problem is with canada's new law about imports, it can be hard to find some that are registered and are held to be sold, most of those registered and leagalized in canada has been bought, the new imports coming in are in a tight squeeze whether the new law will allow anymore being legalized. i remember reading somewhere these gt4 that are being imported new cannot be registered and they are trying to sell it cheap to get rid of it.

I have a reputable company in Canada that has already imported a few and put them on the road in Canada without any problems.. I'm hoping they can help getting it altogether for a US buyer, but we'll see...
