take the positive and negative feed off the battery,unbolt the power wires,loosen the belt,unbolt it,put new one in...

the alternator for the 6gc is so easy to replace you dont need a how to.
take old alternator out put new alternator in. simple as that.

Err... well i unbolted the top.. but it still wouldnt move.. was wondering if there was a bottom mount bolt. i cant really see and i dont wanna unbolt something i'm not supposed to.. sorry it's my first car and im not really the -car guy- 
theres the belt tightner bolt on the bottom..loosen that...And yes u smartass...install the new alternator
