Engine never warms up - 6G Celicas Forums

My ss2 only ever warms up when im sitting in traffic on a hot day.

Could it be that the thermostat is knackered and needs replacing?

Or is it something else?

Anyone else have this problem?

Any help is much appriciated.

Definitely replace your thermostat. Sounds like it's stuck open.

yeah the thermostat is toast. just replace it. its a fairly easy job

Just don't forget to note the direction the thermostat is facing so you can put the new one the right way and you should have no problem. smile.gif
