Who invented the 3 post extenders? And is there any more pics of it? - 6G Celicas Forums

I was watching this vid GT Four Meeting Highlights05 06 on youtube and I happened to notice a tall looking 3 post spoiler!!! I captured a still but it's not very good, any more pics of something similar out there?

Thought it was very interesting to say the least, I could even imagine it growing on me if I had thought of that instead of drilling holes in my boot and placing an SS-III spoiler on mine.

Hmm... That looks funny to me now, scratch that.

That sounded like a great idea but the way that the spoiler looks tilted backwards doesn't work well.
Yeah, I don't like it much. That site has some AWESOME GT-4's though! Man, I would love to take my Celica onto any Swiss roads. So many beautiful mountain passages...

A spoiler that creates lift on the rear end kind of defeats the purpose.
^ they dont create lift, that would pointless like you said. they create downforce, to keep the rear tires planted firmly on the ground.

Nuh uh! Haven't you heard?!
That spoiler is supposed to create lift...
They are testing for a new concept called CeliJet! laugh.gif

I know what the purpose of a spoiler is. Lift is created when a region of low pressure is created over the top of an airfoil relative to the bottom. The spoiler depicted above will likely create lift because the front of the spoiler is above the rear.
Regardles of technicalities I'm not liking the look of this spoiler at all. It must have come from another make of car and was adapted to ir because it definitely doesn't look aerodinamic or even aesthetic. It kind of looks like a ship bezel or something weird lie that. confused.gif
