so i won a GT4 hood on ebay the other day.. and i was wondering where i can get the hood latch for it. i search 6gc and i found a thread started by nics and someone posted something about it being discontinued or something. so i went on google and came across this site click here. (press Ctrl + f and search "LHD"). so i got the part number (which was 53510-20510) went to toyotaworld.com and put it in. and sure enough it shows that they have it. i was wondering if this is the actual LHD GT4 hood latch or maybe the poster on that forum mistaken the part # for the ST202/AT200 hood latch? confirmation would be great.. thanks!

53510-20510 = LHD hood latch. Yes that's the correct part #. I got it on eBay last year in new condition still in the original box and had the part # sticker.
it might be used in another vehicle as well... if its available in the us

I think he means that its probably a part number thats used in a usdm camry or some other toyota thats sold here in the states. Often times the same hood latch will work with different car models from the same manufacture.

there is a thread around here somewhere that shows the actual diffrence in legnth between the gt-4 latch and the stock one.
its VERY easy to replicate the '4 latch by welding a peice to extend the stock latch by ~1" or so.

apparently it IS discontinued.. toyotaworld emailed me back saying that they are indeed discontinued. so anyone that has a LHD GT4 hood latch that dont need it.. PM me!
