So as the title says it locked up today... So im in need of another engine. It doesnt have to be fancy and what not so if someone could direct me to where to get one i'd like that. I wouldnt mind putting a 2nd gen 3sgte in or a BEAMS but im honestly not sure how much they cost. Price is somewhere around 1200ish maybe a bit more. So anyone.. and i mean anyone just let me know bc this is my daily and its my best friend and my baby. I honestly cried for like 30 minutes. Just PM me please !

I bought the car had it for less than 24hrs i changed the oil and it said it didnt have oil... so i was driving it back to the dealer i got it from and it threw a rod and locked... so he warranty'd it because i had it like 14 hours and put that in a Late model 2.0L i have the receipt it came from Canada out of a 93 Celica. and now this one broke and it has oil and everything so idk whats the deal. I think its locked bc i was casually driving home like a hour ago and my car just shut off i threw it into nuetral as i was rolling down the road going 50. Tried to start it and it tried to turn over and nothing happened it sounded like the battery but i literally bought a new battery 3 days ago a yellowtop optima so i know its not the battery and i checked everything everything has a connection so i think its locked up. Im actually fairly sure its locked up.

wow thats a pretty bold assumption... did you try to crank it by hand?

also i can't believe they put a 2.0 in it... that means new ECU, wiring loom, etc...

No imma try that tmo. If it doesn't then imma just have to find another engine. I figured I check the forums for one first. Before I order offline. I hope ot cranks tho ots my baby

what year mr2 this out of? i found a mr2 locally here its an 86 for cheap not sure of the motor yet just emiled them a lil agoo.
