does anybody know where i can get a replacement shifter boot for a 97? mine has a few tears in it that have spread over the past year and i really need a new one.

No really, there is a member here (vincent_doggy) who sells replacements that are incredible quality. Prices are VERY good. The install is simple.

If you're looking for OEM the part number is: 58808-20120-C0 Runs around $35.OO from your local dealer. Ebay also has a ton of them. Just put in 94-99 Celica shift boot.
Yeah, those shift boots are super tacky.
