looks in great shape! All I've heard of is they are very hard to work on as the engine is so tight in the engine bay, and they have overheating problems because of it, I've heard of clutches going frequently and being a bitch to change other than that it shouldn't be much worse than a normal car and normal things will go.

I have been around 2 of these, one of my friends has a TT,and ive been up close and personal. They are not the easiest car to work on,we did his timing belt(mind you we are teenagers) and it took us about 10 hours from start to start. Also my GFs best friend has/had one(rolled it into a ditch),it was a NA auto but still really quick. They are quick cars, but really heavy and hard to work on.

You must not have many friends.. to constantly be an A$$ hole just shows either you don't get enough sex or you just don't have friends. Of course he could have goggled, but he just wanted to know if there were people on this site that owned a 300zx.

I bet that sounded REALLY funny in your head...

That was actually pretty funny in his post to...

Actually reading isn't one of my favorite things to do, it is more of a chore to me. So I just wanted to give him a thumbs up, because I was under the impression he missed out on a good deal, but looking for ano.... wait... Was that someone else? Oh yeah, the guy looking for the MKI... My bad...

My buddy has two 300zx twin turbo's and we went to look at one that was n/a and it was reaalll slow, I would say wait til you can find a twin turbo, but thats just my opinion. And Im not really feeling the colour either, unless your planning to build it.

I wasn't ever really "looking" for a car or car shopping actually, and technically the car wasnt for sale. I just happened upon this deal. Turbo doesn't matter to me, the 220hp v6 is plenty juice for my needs. Also I read on the 300zx forums the turbos "die" (i dont know much about turbos, so don't beat me up too bad) at around 120k and im not looking for extra expenses.

Not planning any kinda build for the car, maybe an intake system and exhaust in the future but not intending to turbo or anything beyond those basics.

thanks to everyone for your help.... ill post more pix if i end up getting it.

>Swiss, I don't NEED a reason to be an asshat.

I help those who help themselves. Simple as that.

you help NOONE. Don't get it twisted. and I wasn't trying to be funny, I was being DEAD serious. Out of my Year and change I've been here.. all you do is try to flame/bash people and you get warned about it by Mods.. and you still do it. You seriously need to grow up.. or get a girlfriend. which ever comes first. BTW, the OP made it clear with is other post he hoped some people her knew friends that owned one... or had one.

Why don't you ask Blakout16 if I ever help people, like when I drove across the state to install his turbo kit, or how I offered up my AAA membership to a member who needed his car towed to a shop that was 40+ miles away, or how about the thousands of threads I have posted info in to answer legitimate questions of members with real problems?

Out of my 5+ years here I have helped more people than you will ever help. Like I said, I help those who help themselves.

And I have been with my beautiful girlfriend for 7 years, so I guess I achieved your suggestion a LONG time ago.

But I appreciate your concern about my personal life. smile.gif

hi,

nice find,

i own a 1990 300 zx twin turbo t-top until last year, (the car was totaled, someone hit me on the rear when a was stop a light), it's a great car, really fun to drive, but the interior was ugly, the carpet kindasad.gif

the engine was realiable for a 20 year old engine wink.gif , but you have no space to work, check all the rubber under the hood and all the electrical connection, the engine was VERY hot

if you want more info check this site : Z32 you have many info, and the service manual online

and last thing picture of mine... frown.gif i will have a other one some day.....

Have you driven the car fast? I ask because there's really not much 'juice' in the non-turbo model. I remember driving my friend's about 6 years ago and all I remember was it feeling extremely heavy/sluggish. My favorite thing about it was the t-tops, but I was like 16-17 at the time. I don't know much about them but I assume parts for the ZX are expensive (compared to other Nissans). I own a Z now but it'll be under warranty for a long while. I probably wouldn't get one used because these cars can look beautiful on the surface, but they're very easy to abuse. Good luck with your decision.

My only problem with the 300z..... Seat doesn't move back far enough. I'm only 5'11" and I felt kinda cramped driving my dad's 91 around for a while.

Otherwise, great pick up man. I love the z's.
