It is the union attached to the master cylinder that "proportions" the brake fluid to the lines.Thanx

that is a T, it is in no way a valve

now there is a proportioning valve further in the brake lines that actually proportions the fluid to the rear of the vehicle... it is much bigger and much more important, just trying to help the buyer and seller
