Need 94 Celi Rear Shoe/Wheel Cylinder help! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #73410 5 posts Started by agentzero0
I recently put on new rear shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders on my 94 Celica.

Well, like an idiot, I removed everything the day before I got my parts instead of leaving one side as a reference.

Now, I THOUGHT I had the hardware and everything correct, but when I went to go, my pedal was falling to the floor, and so I got everything back off, and the rubber parts of the wheel cylinders I just installed were popping off, first on the passenger side, now on the drivers side.

Could it be that the shoes, hardware is on wrong? Or is it possibly the proportioning valve? Does anyone have a pic of the shoes on with the hardware? I searched and searched and found nada!

I think that was part of the problem, I was trying to bleed them with the DRUMS OFF!
Yeah, you need to bleed them after you have it all back together. You probably sucked air into the line by bleeding them with the drums off.
