Can you paint top dash (sqooshie stuff)? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #73738 11 posts Started by mgnt232
So I painted the interior, and its never chipped (with the exception of the pass door sill when my fat friend stood on it! >:O!!)
Also before the pic, is there a special way to remove the passenger side vent in dash? I just got it out, but broke all but one of the clips on it, the others came out fine, this one was hard!

Okay pic of interior. Pointing to what I want to paint.

Is there some special paint I should use? I just sprayed the other parts, but they are all plastic, dont know if anyone has dared to do this?
thanks!

don't think normal spray paint would stick. custom fabrication, or a special dye is needed...

This works wonders. Just make sure you get everything in a smooth, solid layer. My cards are flat black...not what I wanted, as it turned out and now I have to get new ones.

If you don't get everything in a solid layer, the vinyl/plastic paint will chip. Mine is in one place on my passenger door card.

Use Krylon Fusion, works wonders, and I know we have it in the NY area.
looks like my old mustangs interior. actually ALOT like my mustangs interior lol

Use Vinyl dye.
