id go bigger than 10mm spacers id go 15mm

"she can polish my strut bar anytime As long as her blow-off valve's in good order"
lets say for example you have a rim with +38 offset, whats the largest wheel spacer you can go before having to get extended wheel hub bolts, or whatever you call em. Will a 10MM spacer do just fine without any modifications to the hub?

oh. well ive been asking people and they told me that if i dont want tires hitting or rubbing with the fender jst get 10mm. i dont really want to look flush anyways.
ya Im getting 16 X 7 wheels with +38 offset so I was thinking about getting 3mm spacers in the front and 8 mm in the rear

There are other factors to take into consideration as to wether or not youll rub, like suspension height and stiffness, for instance Im running 17x8 et35 rims, 225/45/17 tyres with a 30mm spacer in the rear and 10mm out front (+5 and +25 effective) dropped on coilovers, I have no rubbing issues but my suspension is very stiff. The same rims on a car with stock suspension may rub at every bump in the road so think about the total suspension and wheel package before calculating your spacer thickness. FYI my 10mm spacers have longer studs to be fitted in to the hub but the 30mm are a bolt on hubcentric spacer.

oh well im only gonna lower my car 1.5 front and back. im getting kyb struts with eibach sportsline. there a lot more beef than the s techs and trd springs. hope fully everything works out

I'm getting the same exact rims except mine are in gold. Very nice rims but they are a bit heavy. I'm also getting them staggered.
^hahaha are you getting spacers? i would get gold but my car looks better with darker rims =]
With a rim width of 7" wide and +40 offset you need probably need 35mm spacers for flushness at the back and 25mm at the front.

If you getting slip on spacers 3mm and 5mm ones you need new studs 3mm long than your existing ones and 5mm for the 5mm slip ons.

a few post up you can read that i said i dont want to look flush my friend =]........ here in soCal when ur car gets tooo sexy. it vanishes and u find it chopped into pieces
I reckon, the bigger the better man. I have 17's on my 6gen and used to have 18's but they cracked, but even they never used to rub. My brother has 19's with 245 series rubber on his 5gen GT4 with huge spacers and they are fine. Here is a pic below, and the one below that is my photo shoped version, which is what he wants it to look like with his new suspension.
