Okay so were trying to convence my buddy that he needs to seriously consider car photography.
He knows how to take photos but still needs work.
My car just recently got fixed after being wrecked for six months.
So any comments or suggestions will be greatly appriciated.

well first of all black cars are hard enough to shoot. even for me but there are trick. a little advanced for his taste right now probably.
he should kind of calm it down with the tilted axis group shots. the cars tend to seem like they are going to fall out of the frame.
only in certain situation does it work.

the rolling shot is pretty good. he seems to have the know how there. its a good amount over exposed though.

there are other things but they are just nit picky.
tell him to just keep at it and to stay away from black cars.
get a circular polarizer filter for the camera he has.
get a better camera lol

here is what i started out with. this was taken with my moms point and shoot

see nothing special at all. you can only do soo much with a point and shoot.

and here is what i came up with with my dslr when i first got it

if he is seriously into he can get here someday

and i myself have a looong way to go

im definitely not as good as tigawoods but i have a few things to add. the main thing for me is to remember what you are taking a picture of, the car or the scenary.

for example, this is actually my favorite pic of the group. but the cars almost seem out of place, like the shot would look better with an open road and no cars.

and same thing with this one.

These are quite better.

Next thing is that all the pictures seem to be portrait. it'd be best to impliment the rule of thirds to get the best effect, especially with scenary. look at all of tigawoods pics for example, almost all of them are not centered.

there are other things also, but wont get to that right now. but he definitely has an eye for rolling shots, i can never get mine that sharp.

Thanks for the help guys thumbsup.gif ill definatly tell him.
Or maybe ill start trying to shoot some photos. I think my mothers got a pretty good camera thumbsup.gif
