PLEASE HELP!!! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #74012 5 posts Started by CelicaST96
I got two new high beam houseings about 4 months ago and I made sure everything was tightly sealed up. But when it rains, water and oxidation forms on the inside of the glass lenses. So can anyone please help me solve this because it looks bad and there is a water level forming on the botton of each housing (filling up with water).

Thanks guys!
OK I would do a recheck on your seals first off, it has to be perfect to avoid this. It's worse to have an almost perfect seal than no seal at all as far as headlights go. Some people say it helps to drill a few small holes in the bottom of the housing at the lowest point so the water can drain out if it's impossible to get a perfect seal going.

Another option is to secure few bags of desiccant inside the housing, like the ones you find in electronics but larger, this only works if there isn't too much water in there though. So only do this if you want to help control minor condensation once you get most of it taken care of.

i drilled the holes. Invisible with USDM stock (non clear) headlights.

Thanks for the input, I'll re-seal them as good as I can and drill two or three holes in the bottom of each houseing.

it'll be easier to remove them~ but i didn't. Remove the light bulbs first atleast. lol. the housings will work with holes, the Bulbs will not. laugh.gif
