Looking to get my car painted bc the stok white clear coat of 1995 is starting to chip away. I really like my white, but in thinking of going all black everything. So anyone know about how much a good looking paintjob will cost, and I'm not looking to spend like 3000. O was thinking along the lines of 5-1200. I'm doing the sanding an all that.

a good paint job will run anywhere from 1-1.5k. where you planning on getting this painted at?

IMHO, doing the prep yourself kinda leaves you with Earl Scheib or MAACO, unless you have a bud who works in a bodyshop & will do it after hours.

Around here, the shops won't paint over someone elses prep-- that way there's no " they screwed my paint job " type of finger pointing.

I have a buddy who said if I help and all that he would paint my car what ever color I want pop out my 2 dents and de-badge and fill in the holes on the front bumper from the front license plate thing all fr around 1200. I was thinking either gloss black, or white with my rooftop in black.
