honestly i have no idea where i'd be going. I won't have a gps either, just good ol' google maps. I'm not sure how well it will work out tho

I heard on the news it flooded pretty good over by that area is it true or do I have my directions mixed up?

I'm just using Google Maps too, Stambo. I was going to check out Oglesby later this week and see if there's a grocery store or car wash there, since I'm driving right through it anyway. And it's possible that it's flooded, navseal. Seems like Starved Rock is right next to a river. But if it is flooded, then some of the trails that Chris and Jordan posted pictures of from the last meet should be pretty interesting.

if it gets flooded it does not last for long. the water was flowing good through the canyon when we were there and we were OK. along the big river things stay calm

Holy crap, how did I forget about enderswift? I fail. All the PM's I've sent, and I failed that hard... Come on out, Enderswift. The more, the merrier!

Hopefully you can find a way to make it, Bitter. I was holding out hope for a cruise, even if Rt. 71 is in rough shape.

Nope, won't be able to make this. I have to drive to south bend saturday to pick my dad up to get him to ohare for a 9am flight on sunday morning and someone is staying the night somewhere.


this is why I stayed when the rest of the family moved, to be away from them.

Stacy is going to be making up some salsa, so we'll be bringing chips and salsa too. Does somebody want to bring some sweets?

I just did some research on Oglesby. I looked for a car wash and a grocery store and found nothing, so does anybody else know of somewhere good to meet up for a car wash? I'm willing to go out of my way.

I was just coming to the thread to post that I did some further research. Peru and LaSalle, IL are about 5 minutes from Oglesby, and they both have a car wash and grocery store. I've got to go right through Oglesby anyway, so I just thought I'd hit up what I can. I'm thinking I'll just pick everything up that I need here so I don't have to go to a grocery store up there and I'll just find out where you guys are going for a car wash. However, I just looked it up and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be raining Saturday. If that's the case, I'm skipping the car wash. I'm cleaning the car up here tomorrow after work, and was mainly going to try to get any bugs off at the car wash, but if it's raining, I won't worry about it too much.

I've been checking 6gc from work whenever time would allow, & I never saw this!!

My Bride wants to know if any wives // girlfriends are going with anyone.

We will go if there's women for the Wife to meet, or if any of the woman members are going.
If not, then I will be going solo.

Bad for me-- Celica is down due to a dragging, scrachy calliper!! Going to begin work on it NEXT Thursday!!
I'll bring pics on my iPhone of the Celica!! It's rough, but I love it!!

Do we bring food // drinks, or is it " munch b4 the meet "?

Hey! Glad to see you're going, Bigblock. Don't worry about not bringing the Celica. I don't really feel like renting a tow truck for the day to bring mine either tongue.gif

bloodMoney is bringing his girlfriend, otherwise I think we are all coming alone. Feel free to bring your wife though!

I went to the store today and picked up a 12 pack of Coke, 12 pack of Pepsi, some ground beef for hamburgers, some buns, and a single package of cheese. So to my knowledge, someone could bring toppings for hot dogs/hamburgers, plates, and napkins and we should just about be set. Looking forward to tomorrow! Let's hope it doesn't rain.
