Ha, you said butt weld.

Congratulations! I'm still very much keeping the possibility of a 7A-FTE open for myself, so I'm quite jealous! biggrin.gif As for a clutch, I've heard good things about Exedy clutches, although I'm not sure if they're available in the UK. I would say get a stage 1 or 2 clutch, that should probably do you well.

What about boost controller? I have one Greddy for sale... the same one as I used in my old 7AFTE.

I have an Exedy and I love it. Most people think its a little too harsh but I've been daily driving with it for more than two years now (since Dec '07), you get used to it.
Mine is an Exedy Racing Stage 2 thick Cerametallic Clutch. I don't think the Stage 1 will handle the torque, if I remember correctly. Either that or it was too close to take the chance so I went a stage up. It does depend on your power goals but the 7A naturally makes more torque than HP so keep that in mind. I got my clutch from importrp.com, you will have to check if they ship to the UK.

Hey man. I am only in Thurrock (near Lakeside) and I also had a 7afte so let me know if you need any help.

try looking on importperformanceparts.net they have stage 3 from fidanza which cost me 398 shipped may be about same for u...
thanks guys, I found one in the end, someone was offering a kit made from exedy parts. finished fitting yesterday, works nicely. 5 paddle ceramic.
I may have busted a drive shaft though, I dropped the gearbox while one of the drive shafts was still in, nasty knocking/grinding noise. its not the clutch cos it only happens whilst im moving. bit of a **** frown.gif.
