shocking! car show - 6G Celicas Forums

today i went to a car show and it was at a ford dealership, so i thought i would go there and rain on there day by brining the celica. (i was the only car there that wasnt a ford or something old/chevy) you wouldnt believe how many people gave me crap for being there, but in the end i walk away with a first place trophy for the peoples choise all around best in show biggrin.gif ! the feeling was great! go celica's



i love this pic because they were the only people there when i got there and they went right to look at the celica!

the girlfriend, who i cant thank more for helping me with my car(she is a true celica lover) with her toyota shirt on just to tick the ford guys off

on a side note what happened to your front lip for the invader/vader/veilside bumper?

Yeah I was wondering that too- it looks alot better, i mean in my opinion, with the bottom part of the invader kit.
But sweet for winning, wish there were car shows around me frown.gif

well when i bought the car, the umder piece wasnt painted yet, so i put it on ayways and it really looked like crap so i took it off and i have gotten more compliments with it off than with it on!
thanks for all the compliments it means alot

well, your guess is as good as mine. at one point i had to ask people to move so i could get into my car and start it for them.

I am really happy for you and congrats on the win! Today, I got an older man in a corvette today compliment my MR2 widebody. So you would be amazed by what folks are used to, and when you hit them with something new, they gain a new respect for it actually seeing it in person and you taking it upon yourself to be different (which is what the corvette guy wanted to acknowledge).

the best part of the whole day was when this little kid walked by and asked his dad," daddy why dont you have a car like this?" the dad said," well im not 12 and like cars that come from cereal box's. the boy.... " i hope i get that car in the cereal box that mommy just bought. hahahaha suck it old man! lol

i went to a UK sound off event held at the ford-fair, i went in a vauxhall and got loads of abuse but we had a big laugh laugh.gif

and i won too biggrin.gif
