Oh, there is a metal line that is fed into the motor, its pretty much what lifts the glass. Before mine got all tangled in the motor, it appeared to be on a spindle in the motor with a cover over it (simliar to bicycle brake lines) to a pully and such. I think you can't the motor out without disconnecting that line from the rail or glass...not sure which...as I have to pull mine out shortly.

It's the black plastic piece that surrounds your battery. It isn't really attached to anything, it just kind of goes around the battery. Here's a link, it's number 5 in the diagram.
