yeah i got a universal magnaflow 50 state legal based of the 3sgte engine for the turbo
Don't you get dodgy tester in the USA where they stick the sensor up a car that does pass?

dang that sucks your state requires smog testing. try 87 octane. Maybe the stock cat? I had no cats on my car and i tested it with the smog tester we have at school (even though NC doesnt do it anymore) and it passed

Octane shouldn't matter when it's between 87 and 90ish

if he has a 3S-GTE then he should be using 91-93 octane only! but yes it really shouldnt matter.

well, since the title of his thread is 5sfte cant pass emmisions, i would imagine he has a 5sfte. lol

whats your a/f ratio at cruise and idle?
what size injectors are you using?
one thing your going to have to remember, is with the SAFC, when your pulling fuel, your telling the ecu there is less airflow then there actually is, which is affecting timing as well as fueling.
the easiest way to pass, would be to install a set of stock injectors, and map sensor, and dont boost on the way to the test.
