im going to paint my brake caliper - 6G Celicas Forums

what paint should i use to properly get the job done and stay looking nice.
i mean no chiping or burning off. thx

well to be able to spray it and forget about it, get the actual caliper paint, they got it at alot of autostores and at like nopi etc... i use engine enamel and just some automotive clear coat, it works fine! alot cheaper also, i used lime green at 1st but w/o the clear coat, it started wearing away and looked like a pea green, kinda hideus... i then stripped em and painted em a dark blue and used clear coat, looks great and never had to repaint em yet. i probably will after winter...

Well I just used 500 degree paint for them , but you can get up 1200. I need to do mine againg but they have lasted 2 years!

i did it taday i use engine enamel that is for 500 degree so that worked good i did two coats.

Yea if I ever do mine agian im gogin to use 1200 degree, but it really hasent burnt off jsut chipped from peeps hititng it!

i only used engine enamel 500... worked fine..clearcoat is a good idea!! >smile.gif>
Be sure that you are using automotive primer... will help with the chipping
