okay heres the deal... i've recently bought some dropzone 1.5" front and rear lowering springs and i've
heard you should get camber kits when you lower your car? 2 things... is it hard? and do you actually
have to do it? i tried reading up on it on here but havne't had too much luck, when i searched camber kit,
there were a ton of results but after looking through about 20 i had no luck

dont really get what you are asking? is it hard to install the camber kit? No, its as simple as just replacing one bolt on the bottom of each strut.

Is it necessary? If you want your tires to wear properly, yes. If you desire negative camber, dont put it.

You shouldnt have to do anything for a 1.5" drop. I have Eibach Sportlines with a 1.5" on front and back. I didnt need anything changed when i had my alignment done. It came out fine.
You will most likely need to change your end links, though... (They go bad and often get torn up if you dont remove them correctly. Youll need allen wrenches and a 12mm wrench* I think... Dont quote me on that.) Be prepared for a minimum of $15 each for the Autozone ones. Twosrus ones are $60 + for a set if you decide to go to the aftermarket adjustable ones.

I'll be lowering my Celi with Megan Racing coilovers soon, it won't be slammed. Probably 1.5" drop. Definitely no more than 2". Would I absolutely NEED to replace the endlinks? I don't do crazy driving, I just got the coils because my struts are dead and I wanted to lower my car anyway, might as well get the nice things. So they shouldn't be under extreme amounts of stress.

you dont necessarily need to replace the links. but for every two cars that required rear suspension work i've had to cut the links on one requiring me to buy a new pair of rear links. the allen key hole in the links are easily rounded.

Yea the allen key hole on my endlinks were stripped after lowering my car as well. I was able to get them pretty tight, but there is still a lot of play in the endlink, so it makes a nasty clickin noise when i drive. But I don't want to tighten them anymore, or else they will get more stripped and I will ahve to cut them off.

i had to blow torch mine and then gave up and sawed them off

camber bolts arent needed at time of install, but you'll be needing them when you do alignment. if you have full race coils then you dont really need them cuz they usually come with PBM's

For a 1-2" drop, you won't really need the camber kit. It won't hurt anything to have it, but it's not necessary. As for the end links, just get some new ones anyway, even if you can reuse your old ones. Think about this: Your sway bar does not bolt directly up to anything except the end links. You've got 11 year old end links at the newest, if you're driving a '99 Celica. Your sway bar is a LOT thicker than those end links, so they've got some stress put on them over time. They are cheap. Might as well replace them while you are in there. It's like doing a motor swap. You wouldn't buy an old engine and put it in the car without buying a new water pump, timing belt, and gaskets. It's just something that you do when you do the work. Update the parts that you can.
