She doesn't do this all the time, but sometimes from a cold start, it'll idle way up at about 1,700. It eventually goes down to normal. But If I turn the A/C on when it's idling that high, it'll go down to about 1,100. I don't know if that's something to worry about or if it's nothing?

I sometimes have a similar problem where my idle will be really high, or really low to the point that it just about stalls out. I've found out that its the IAC valve (Inlet air control).

Its below the throttle body and has coolant bypass lines going to it. It controls the idle depending on the coolant temperatures. I've been told it may be sticking that is what is causing the speradic idle.

Not sure if this is your problem, but it could be.

Yeah, this has happened to me, and I cleaned it out, and it worked better. Then I did it a second time, and I rebuild it upside down. then my idle was really high. Point is, if you do take it apart and clean it, make sure you put it back together right!

Is it pretty easy to find under the throttle body?
I haven't actually done mine yet, but I know i need to.

Sorry. Someone who knows their **** pretty good told me inlet so i took his word for it

I don't know bout the 7A (don't own one), but the 5s the IAC is located on the underside of the TB. Best way to remove it is to have an impact driver with a good bit, I broke mine recently and am kinda bummed (shoulda bought a snap-on), you'd probably see better results from an electric impact driver. And it is Idle Air Control.
