License Plate Panel - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #75833 8 posts Started by mkernz22
As for everyone on here that subs in there trunk, how do you get the license plate holder panel to not vibrate like fricken crazyyy? It just sounds horrible and I want to know how to deaden it. Please let me know, if you know!
Is it tightened down all the way? Mine used to rattle a little, but i tighted it down alot, and it doesnt do it any more... my actual plate rattled alot! I just used a piece of fabric (like felt ish type thing)and got three pieces cut out to the size of it and stuck it behind it, it still moves around but its not hitting the plastic part.
I would turn the subs on and see exactly whats making the noise. Normally if you can put a little pressure on it, and it stops thats ur culprit. And you could obviously buy sound deadening, but i would try like some cloth, old shirt or something under whatever is rattling and it'll stop smile.gif

I've spilt my heart into this car :) And I don't ever plan to stop- 6GC for Life ->Semper Fi<1994 Cupra :p 3sgte1995 Celica ST DD1969 Chevelle SSalllll balls. P2 approved!

true that! haha
but I can hear it when I have them playing soft and the hatch is closed. When the hatch is open, I never hear it rattle.
I know its that panel itself because when I apply pressure to the bottom of it (right where it meets the bumper) it stops rattling. Maybe if I get some rubber glued to the bottom of the panel, or just stick some in between it and the bumper, it might stop.
