Thank You Thread - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #75955 26 posts Started by jcbass7
So I was thinking about all the times people from this site have either given me awesome advice that saved me time and money, or have hooked me up with a great deal on parts i need, or have even gone so far to help me install parts in my car in a pinch.

Lets keep it to one specific thank you per post, for example (Steff and Dustin have helped me many times, but I'll start with this one...)

Thank you Dustin (Batman722) and Steff (Hurley97) for helping me install a new alternator, after mine caught on fire! biggrin.gif

Agreed, very nice thread.

Let's see....
I'm going to thank everyone who answered all my questions and hooked me up with parts between 6/24 and 7/24. That whole month was a frenzy of WTB's and questions on how to fix my front end since I got in a little wreck on 6/24. Thank you all so much, you helped make my baby sexy again! smile.gif

Big thanks to Jim, Joey and Shannon

not only they help me work on my car, they also gave me space where to do the work, along with their advise, input and corrections along the way. Nothing I can say or do will ever pay them back for that.

Thanks guys !
Great thread idea....

I have to thank Daniel (richee3) for helping me with almost everything that I've wanted for my Abby thus far. What a great asset to the community! Thanks again buddy!

I second that. Good guy.

Michelle, for making the calendars and for the awesome hoodies. And, because you're Minxy. The end.

Martin and Pavel (Urputus) for letting me tag along for a few days in Europe, definitely amazing.

And lastly, Yuri and Samir and Axel for actually bothering to show up to the 2/20/10 FL meet.

i would def have to thank COOMER, although he's not around much, or even helped me personally.. he hosts this site, and if it wasnt for the vast amount of knowledge on here i wouldnt be able to do my V6 swap, and would be with stef, probably celicaless.

personally id have to thank:
DEATH - biggest help since he's 'local' letting me crash at his place, and even letting me drive his 3S swap
D-man - cool guy, willing to help whenever possible
Zero07 - though hes not active now, he was a cool guy and gave me a armrest cover smile.gif

Wow where to start, so many people have helped me fro way back, amysmojo for helping post a pic, Art for video.
The list is huge for the cartech info.

I want to thank Jeff, Dustin, Steff, and Miggy for helping me with money for tickets to fly out to MA for the 2007 fall csp meet.
I especially want to thank Manny and Jenn for letting me stay with them for a week and treating me like family.
Jenn used her vacation time to take me site seeing, they fed me, and took me to and from the Providence airport,
for which they wouldn't take money. You guys are the best, and welcome here anytime. thumbsup.gif

JDM guy made me do it.
group hug anyone.

I want to thank Coomer! Without this site I would still be wondering around the internet looking for everything and anything that had to do with celicas. (I think we all have been there b4)

Honorable mention:

Neverstop
Madmods
Doggy
Playa

Wether they know it or not. These guys are the reason I ever kept my celica. It was always motivating to see what these guys were thiinking up.

Everyone should thank tuffy. He has proved there is hope for our slow little cars.

I honestly wouldn't even KNOW where to begin... there's quite a few of you I've become personal friends with, so the thanks transcends way beyond that.

I think for myself, there are definitely a handful of specific people who come to mind, but I think you all know exactly who you are, and you also know how appreciative I am.

So with that, I'll extend a very broad and general thank you; in the 3 1/2 years I've been a member of this board, I've acquired an unimaginable wealth of knowledge. It's not only saved my ass a few times, but it's also enabled me to pay it forward by being SO MANY of my friends' "go-to" about car issues. It turns out I have a hell of an aptitude for this stuff, so thanks also to all the contributing members of this site for helping me to realize it and hone in on it!
Wow I'd have to agree with Michelle, I dont know where to start.
I bought my wrecked celi with no intentions of keeping it, and then i found Coomers amazing site smile.gif
There were alot of users in the old chat that really opened my eyes to possibility's that arent active anymore, but a huge! thanks to them.
And a GIGANTIC thank you to AJMorris who helped me out every step of the way with my exterior dreams. RIP his celi, but im still friends with him and can call or email anytime I have a problem.
I really could ramble for hours thanking.
I've been lucky enough to attend 3 meets, and even "host" one. So I would thank everyone I've met for a great time, and great friends smile.gif
I'd like to thank everyone who has answered questions ive had when my celi stops, and i dont know where to turn. Manny has given me alot of info.. whether he knows it or not smile.gif
Thank you to anyone ive bought items from that i wanted or NEEDED. Like Jims k-frame.
Thank you to the whole 6GC Community, for changing my life smile.gif

Coomer - thank you for this amazing wealth of knowledge that you maintain. I know we never really got to talk much, but I feel a connection (because our cars are both yellow, LOL)

Michelle, Jim, Manny, DEATH, Gerard (asian_advanced), WALKER, Dustin, Malpaso, Fergi; and many many more; you've been a great asset to this community in friendship, wisdom, and your willingness to share your knowledge with fellow enthusiasts! You've helped me through some of the more scarier moments of my cars life... biggrin.gif

I can guarantee that without this community - I would be lost when it comes to my car; and I probably wouldn't be a proud owner to this day.

I've seen a lot of members come and go on this site in the past 4-5 years, but the true enthusiasts always find their way back to 6GC (whether they own a 6Gen or not, you know who you are. wink.gif ). I believe its because this is such a great community, that its more like a family than anything. Everyone has their role in the household.

6GC.net is home.

Special thanks to Spolski (Scott), Tigawoods (Mike), Stef (Hurley), Death (Matt), 97lestyousay (Randy), Defgeph, Manny, Shannon, Martin, and Harold_Fastwaker.
For influencing, problem solving, teaching, and hooking me up biggrin.gif

Thanks Nemises,

I had some good times on here. Learned alot, tried alot of new things. I'm still a hardcore car nut, but not being single anymore has really cut into my car time. My celica is still driving around tempe, az somehere. I race gt5 online on nascar alot under madmods. At the moment i am trying to customise my racing rigg.
6gc.net

Thanks for sticking with one gen and keeping this place organized. I recently started working on my sons 90 escort gt front susupension. The escort forum I found is multi generation with sub catagories much like we have, but for multiple models (what a fricken mess) they also have generation specific sub catagories also, where all info for that gen is all moshed together. To make things worse the search function is a POS. We gots it good people. smile.gif Thanks

JDM guy made me do it.
I hear ya, Randy.
Trying to research anything for a 2003 Dodge Caravan on the Dodge Forums is like trying to make a left turn in a north American traffic circle.

Painful to say the least.

This place is fabulous. Thank you Coomer and mods!
