woahhh, i didn't know it was that bad. definitely DO NOT drive it. it is dead, sorry to say. If you keep driving it like that you will lose a ton (or all) of the the oil and things are bound to get even more F'd up if you keep driving it.
ya lost a bearing. keep driving it & it'll throw the rod. you probably need a new rod, and a crank regrind (or new one) along with a full rebuild. minimum cost: $2000

if you stopped driving it as soon as you felt a power loss, you could PROBABLY get away with just replacing the bearings and squeeze another 10,ooo miles out of it... in that contition id say the motor will last at MOST 20 miles

the Engine will be rebuilt, was planing to do that after I got the 3S-GTE engine in. it was going to be my "learn how to really work on an engine" I'm a bit upset this is how it had to end. but just means more to learn I guess.
as for the loss of power, I've been getting hic-ups in power here and there, and my father, who shares the car, was thinking it was the spark plus and some to do with the clutch slipping.
I was hoping it would hold out till October, but it didn't make it...
Ill start pulling the engine this weekend and get the bay cleaned up for the replacement.
Thanks for the hard truth though!
Kevin
if you want my advice.. replace that rod. it was under tremendous heat/stresses and you should be able to see that its discolored (if you can see through the oil buildup). its probably slightly bent or out of round, and reusing it will cause the same failure. replace ALL rod/head/main bolts with new toyota bolts. get the crank checked (it may be able to be saved).
btw, i had a 7a fail in the same way.. but i DID keep driving it (i was FAR from home)
