First question, will upgrading my shifter bushings really make that big of a difference? i already have the 7th get shifter and aluminum base bushings for my shifter, so how much difference is there?
and will these bushings work? i know they say they will fit a 7th gen celica, tc, yada yada, but alot of the parts off the 7th gen fit our cars, here is the link

Those will fit. I have them on my MR2 and they make a BIG difference. Can't recommend them enough.

I have a set for sale for $20 shipped, exact same thing brand new. Look in for sale section I still have the kit available.

It depends on what you are considering a BIG difference. Will you knock .5sec off your 1/4 mile...probably not. But will the gearbox feel and engage more directly yes. If your shifter bushings are already worn then it would make a more noticeable difference. But really for under 50 bucks what can you be expecting???

Not all about power numbers or times. Small mods such as these, polyurethane motor mounts, polyurethane bushings, etc. are just better for the overall feel and performance of the vehicle.

Can someone tell me, I just installed a trd short shifter, do they come with new bushing or can I use this

did you get a trd quick shifter, or just the 7th gen short shifter? just the shifter comes with purple aluminum bushings that go under the shifter assembly, these go in the engine bay basically right where the shift cables connect to the transmission

you can also fitted small bearings in the end of the shifter cables or so I have been told maybe Skate board ones??

That is actually not a bad idea at all, not to sure if they inner diameter will be small enough for the pin of the shift linkage tho?

Ive use roller blade wheel bearings, but they dont last the canadian winters.

The inner diameter of standard skateboard bearings is about .314", slip fit for a 5/16 shaft. outer diameter is about .866 with a thickness of about .275".
They sell 8mm but I don't know much about them except they are expensive and used mostly on precision downhill trucks.
