My injen intake (with sound) - 6G Celicas Forums

Yer! that sounds damn mean.

'It took way too long to install ..' - why?
ok, i ordered it on nopi.com. nopi orders it from injen and injen ships it strait from their factory to your house. the intake didnt come with any manual, and the instructions were really short and hard to understand. we(me, bro, and bro in law) had a hard time taking stock intake out.. and then there was an extra hole on the intake that we just plugged up cause we didnt know what to do with it. basicly took about an hour to install. but i'm sure its worth it now that i've forgotten the installation.

does the phrase "audio compression" mean anything to you?

you could have made a mp3 that would have sounded the same at half the size...anyway...it sounds great.
they are MPEG Layer 3 compression, and if i'm not mistaken that is almost equal to an mp3. and does the phrase "you need broadband" mean anything to you?
thats pretty tight, did you let it warm up at all before revving it in those clips? sounds 10X better after letting it warm up for like 10 minutes

Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
those revs are like 10sec after starting it up.. i'll have to check that out though, thanks for the advice.

Does this engine have an air flow meter?

It sure sounds so.

You might just need to correct your air/fuel ration some more sense you now have more air to deal with.

Oh my mistake, I guess a file ending in ".wav" are mp3s. >rolleyes.gif>

For your information, broadband is not available where I live. Also, just because one has broadband or not, does not mean its not a smart/resonable/rational/justifiable idea to make things more efficient. Of course the fact that you bought an injen intake [perhaps the worst intake besides weapon-r] should tell me that your are not a very sensible person.

To the second person, its "touche," and he was wrong anyway.

To the third person, you are a shining example of how ignorance truely is bliss.

how do you go about doing that?

If you carry an Air Flow Meter on the intake (a fairly sizable box), you will have to ajust the screw (covered buy a piece of rubber).

Used an Air/Fuel ratio meter to get the right mixture.

If you have a MAP sensor (no AFM), you either advance the throttle sensor a little or buy an Adjustable Fuel Regulator w/ a fuel gauge (work for both MAP & AFM) and increase the fuel pressure.

pretty sure that hole you plugged up is for the O2 sensor...
but i'm no a genius on that whole area, so i'm not 100% on that

Oh my mistake, I guess i should have wasted a few more minutes of my pathetic life to change the format to a ".mp3" file so your bitch ass would stop complaining about the file extension. >rolleyes.gif>

For your information, i dont care weather or not broadband is available in your area. Also, if i'm not mistaken coomer has dailup and he isn't bitching and flaming about getting me to change the file extension when it will have no effect to the file size. Of course the fact that you have to flame me even more doesn't suprise me. Look at it this way, anyone with an injen or weapon-r intake knows your a lame ass(not to mention computer users that know what MPEG Layer-3 is).

And now to you, you are a shining example of how a noob to a forum shows his ignorance and either gets kicked out or is ignored by everyone.

====

To the post above mine: I have 3 holes and 2 things pluged in. (looking at it from front of the car) I have the oc sensor on the right, and the throtle body on the left. Its the hole right after the intake begins that is going down.

and you don't have a hose just flopping it way towards the ground in the bay?
i'm lost >tongue.gif>
sounds perty good tho...weird yet good...maybe it's the exhaust that i'm hearin that's making me think weird?
no.. not the exhaust. i'm tellin ya the car sounded like a vacume before, and after i installed the intake it would do that at high revs 4k+. its been a few weeks now and i can't really hear that anymore though. the sound prolly comes from that hole >biggrin.gif>
