Celica from TURKIYE
I think that the 5 spoke wheels suit the body of the car better.

I like the 17"s acutally.

... usually I would agree with Hector about the 5 spokes, and I still do, but I really like those 17" rims... wow.

17" I like to me

I've had both of those sizes and I'm currently on 215/40/17. It still feels smooth and I can take the average pothole.

Do not get a 40 series tire. They don't fill the wheel well, and they have a harsher ride. 45 series is what you need to get.

Like I said above - 225/45-17. Plenty of meat on that size tire.

oh im sorry! i didnt see that post, here (in U.S.A.) they had a game show and the person got to pick from 3 doors to get a prize (sometimes a car, sometimes junk) so the person would say "i pick door number___"

when i say door number 3 i mean your third picture biggrin.gif
they'll look great!

I got 225/40/18's and the ride is pretty good.
So I'd probably get 215/45's if you get teh 17's just cause teh sidewall on my 18's will be a bit larger then a 40 sidewall with a 215 width, if you know hwat I'm saying.
But Its not a bad ride quality at all, just make sure the tires will clear your fenders if you are lowered or else you will have to roll

I'm scared of 17" using.
celica handling very good. I do not think to use a low spring. First of all, my celica only ST model (110Hp). 17" wheel 225 tire, loss of performance.
I think to use the 16 " - 205/50/16 I'm looking for a different 16" wheel model

I don't think there would be any loss in performance if you upgrade to a 17" rim

Other than a possibly heavier wheel. And even then, that's a matter of a few pounds. So I agree.

It can be lighter though, especially if you are going from the stock rims to aftermarket.
I have a set of 18" that came with my parts car and they are decently lighter than my stocks.
I want to run 18/45/215 tires, but it's going to throw my speedo off by 5mph. So if my speedo reads 65mph, then I'm really going 70 mph kindasad.gif
18/35/215 isn't going to be a smooth ride kindasad.gif but if it's going to keep my speedo correct, then I might have to stay that route.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind compensating in my head lol.

We'll I drive like 75 on the highway, and i glance every once in a while at the speedo so I'll probably forget overtime kindasad.gif
A 45 series sidewall on a 18" rim wouldn't fit a Celica.

16 " - 205/50/16 - very good choice, better than 17".

i dont like 5spokes, looks too oem, those multispoke 17's look like winners to me.

on an 8" wide rim you probably want 225's, probably 225/40ZR17

I've got the factory 16" gt-four rims which are 16x7&1/2 JJ running toyo proxes t1r 225/50ZR16 and they dont flower out on 7.5" wide.

6.5 - 7" - 205

7.5" - 215

8" - 225
