Refinished my 15" Alloys - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #76612 10 posts Started by Driver
I sandblasted my cruddy stock GT wheels and repainted them plain silver. I think they turned out pretty decent, the clear turned kinda funny on some of them but they're for my winter tires so eh, who cares haha.

Here's a freshly blasted one next to a stock one...

He's after primer, the one on the end is still uncoated...

Here's with the top coat on before the clear...

Annnnd the finished product with my WS60's mounted, she's all ready for winter smile.gif

wow that looks really good. did you really just throw em into a blaster or did you file them down first?
I threw them right into a blasting cabinet then did them one by one. It only took about 30 minutes to get all four stripped down.
Much respect, stock rims are awesome!

What sand blaster do you have?
I went to my friends work where they have an industrial sized walk in blasting cabinet smile.gif
