When the car is on idle the rpm drops down to around 800. Then the steering wheel starts to shake a little, not much, but just enoght to be annoying.
Also I can feel the interior shake a little bit too, almost like it wants to stall but it's not as noticable as the steering wheel. Pretty much like releasing the clutch just a little without giving any gas.

What could cause that?

I thought of maybe a bushing somewhere in the steeering parts?

Mine does that too at about 750rpm. I'm not exactly sure what causes it. I just turn on the A/C and it kicks it back up to about 900-1,000rpm

try disconnecting your battery and reconnecting to reset the ECU and A/F mixture my car was doing the same thing (for the low RPM thing)

mine is auto and it does the same thing. 4 cylinder engines( inline) arent the most balanced engines out there.

I already reset my ECU. It didn't make a difference.

is the idle speed too low? this could be the reason. otherwise, it could be that the iacv is already dirty or a little bit clogged and should be clean.

i have a friend who got the same problem before in his carb engine and found out that the culprit is the pcv valve. though i'm not sure if that would be the same for an efi engine. try disconnecting the hose from the pcv valve and see it there is smoke coming out of it. if there is, it could be clogged or dirty or stucked up.

possibly motor mounts busted.

Well I actually just upgraded my motor mounts with Kirk's polyurethane motor mount inserts. Although they help with engine movement a LOT, they shake the hell out of my steering wheel while it's idling anywhere around 700-1000. My steering wheel never vibrated like that before, but after I installed the inserts, it made the mounts so stiff it shook my whole dash basically. I guess the inserts just have to wear in or something. So it MAY have to do with the motor mounts. But I can't give you a definite answer that it would be of BAD motor mounts.

are the motor mounts that you installed are the solid ones? if so, that will really cause more vibration but it will minimize engine movements and improve your acceleration a bit.

sounds like your car just needs a tune up.

when your car idles low your engine vibration increases. So clean your throttle body and idle air control valve with some deep creep. this will make your car idle smoother.

thats a performance upgrade to stop engine from moving as much when driving. It would make your idle harsh, because it would be just like a busted motor mount, the engine is pretty much resting on the outsides of the mount and thus transferring all its vibrating goodness to the rest of the car. The stock rubber ones are there to dampen the engine vibrations,

OP- 750 is normal idle, so 800 is high anyway. IF the car isnt bogging down on idle or actually stalling out, id check the mounts and forget the rest of cleaning stuff, cause if stuff needed cleaning, i think the idle speed itself would have been affected. From your description it seems like your idle is plenty fine and 50 rpm higher than normal actually.
