my gt4 is lightly moded and running 333bhp at thd fly. I would like to know the best way forward spending 800 - 1000 pounds.
Current mods are as follows
blitz electronic boost controller 1.1 bar
pigy back unichip ( made no dam differance)
high flow panel filter and resinator box removed
vsv disabled
bailey dump valve
light weight alloy rad only because the standard one split
organic clutch
blitz nur spec r exhaust
aussie down pipe.
I have been thinking about a hybrid turbo. I know very little what is best, im open to opinion. Would I also need to upgrade the fuel pump if I went down this route?
im not looking for huge power. something with a fair amount of power but reliable
any ideas

coilovers, paint, bride seats, the list is big,
but i know you want more HP, so my best guess is to swap a 3sgte, wait no, duh, "facepalm"
ill let the pros give you ideas, BTW post a pic of he engine, are u still stock top intercooler,
why not start getting forged internals and prepare that beast.

Well in your spec list you didnt mention anything about coilovers, brake upgrades, or better tires....if you havent spent any or much money into those areas i would put a couple hundred pounds there. Maybe whiteline rear sway bar, c-one front, and some BC coilovers...

Yes im still running stock intercooler, i have been led to belive its good for 400bhp
The brake lines and calipers are standard but im running fast road / race pads. They are doing a good job at the minute.
tyres are bridgestones, these seem ok but im sure I need to go wider. The car has a tendancey to step out and it can be very hard to get it back. Im thinking of trying 225 50 R 16 instead of the current 215 50 16 this will be on a seperate budget if i do.
Im looking for engine mods really. Forged is a good idea but i just dont have the budget.
Am i likely too see much hadling improvement with coilovers? sorry if this is a dumb question
Get an aftermarket ECU and tune.
i would look for a great deal on a tuned ECU if you can find one (eliminate boost cut, speed limiter, and increase redline...mines, c-one, and a few others make them and can be found on ebay and such from time to time.) or a good "active" style map clamp to eliminate boost cut.
water/meth injection
MOAR BOOST! with the water/meth injection, you can run quite a bit more boost than you are currently. guys here run as much as 1.5bar (~21-22psi) with it with great results (usually in the ~330+ wheel HP range)
steer clear of the "hybrid" ct based turbo upgrades, there isnt anything on this side of the pond that will spool as well and make more power than the dinky 20b without fitting a proper kit, or building your own.
im not sure what it works out to in euros, but if your looking for something to use to control your engine better, and set the stage for future mods, the power FC has great bang for the buck potential.

I really wanted to run the power fc. I could not find any for sale. I searched for over a month then gave up. In the end I settled for the piggy back unichip. This gained me about 3hp pritty poor really. I must admit the car is alot more responsive. I dont believe it was worth the 550 pound it cost.
Will the power fc be better than the unichip?
Im running a Power FC on my car, I'll let you know the results this weekend on how it works out. Its pretty versatile. Even better the commander lets you tune everything right there in the palm of your hand. It's super simple to use. I went and played with my friend he has in his 240, and yea I had to have one after that there great. You can even download base maps and tunes from the Apexi website straight to your computer, then just plug you commander to the computer and boom it plugs in the tune you downloaded. Superrr simple tuning made easy for the weekend mechanic.
that's good to know...i surprise there's not a lot of talks of the most formidable ecu's out there for easy tuning...i heard of a lot of the brands like mines, c-one, fc, sard, and of course the e-manage from hks or greddy now...but no real solid guide or review on them.
