Is it possible to take a camry's 3.0 liter v-6 and put it into a 6g celica gt?
The base model camry 1997-2001 comes with the celica's 2.2 liter, so i don't think size would be an issue.

well no it's not impossible.. turbo magazine did that swap on and mr2.. but that would be nice to see on a 6gc... thank about it is might be a simpler swap then doing a JDM simply cause getting all the parts needed would be easier... cause does anyone not know were they can't get a camary from?

It's been done in an MR2 that was formerly 5S-FE-powered, and it's been discussed a few times here, but none of us have seen the Camry's V6(1MZ-FE isn't it?) in a Celica. It could be done, it would just require quite a bit of work to custom mount that engine in the car.
New Toyota project coming soon...
isn't the new RAV-4 engine an A-series?
The 2004 RAV4 has a 2AZ-FE:
2.4 litre
compression ratio: 9.6:1
161 hp @5700
165 ft*lbs @ 4000
I was thinking that it would make a great winter car, then slap on a low pressure turbo... mmmm....
with all that displacement, you could get some power...
These cars came with the 2AZ-FE:
The Highlander 2WD 4-cyl 01-03
Highlander 4WD 4 Cyl 01-03
Camry I4 Japan Sedan 02-03
Camry I4 USA Sedan 02-03
Solara I4 Hardtop 02-03
Solara I4 Ragtop 02-03
These cars came with the 1AZ-FE:
RAV4 2WD/4-Door 01-03
RAV4 4WD/4-Door 01-03

yeah, i just wanted to know
that would be the best, big displacement and a TRD supercharger, properly tuned would give you big power and massive torque
thanks any way guys, keep up the good work
